Cristina VaLdivielso Garcia

Growing up in a small town, La Pobla de Vallbona in Spain. Cristina started dancing at the age of 3 in the Conservatoire of Music and Dance at Ribarroja del Túria. She moved her studies to the city of Valencia to be able to combine dance with music, she played the harp.

Then she moved to study at SEAD and she ended up being part of the Bodhi Project Company where she worked with Guy Nader and Maria Campos, Francesco Scavetta, Jose Agudo, Lisi Estaras and Adrienn Hód. She has participated in numerous festivals worldwide and has also given workshops in contemporary dance improvisation, especially partnering and contact improvisation.

Since then she has been participating in collaborative projects as a freelancer artist and creating her artistic work. She has had the pleasure of participating twice in the Cicle Migrats Dansa where she has presented her work “A Halbe Hoibe ” together with Bernat Macia Perez, in the Centre Cultural del Carmen. Meanwhile she keeps studying for a Psychological degree and she is enrolled in a Master of Dance for research in “Embodied Artistic Research” at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. She is interested in the depths of human beings. Through the observation of our environment, we experience the metaphorical journey of our innermost being, the deepest self.
