Eleanor will kick off the class with dance-specific strength and conditioning, and then lead onto shifting the weight dynamically, on and off balance. Traveling phrases will challenge our ability to fuse power and control to enhance quality of movement.

 

About Eleanor Stephenson

Eleanor is a contemporary dance artist, who, alongside performing, offers dance-specific strength and conditioning coaching. She trained at Rambert School and Emergence Postgraduate Company, where she graduated with 1st class BA and MA degrees respectively.

Eleanor has worked with choreographers including Johnny Autin, Joss Arnott, Kevin Finnan, Roisin Whelan, Shobana Jeyasingh, and Dane Hurst to name a few, as well as having performed works by Longborough Festival Opera, Robert Cohan, and Richard Alston. Personal highlights have been performing at Macau International Parade, China, and at the late Queen’s Coronation Festival, Buckingham Palace. Eleanor additionally enjoys sharing her skillset through rehearsal directing, and teaching, from young dance students to professionals alike.
