Junior Cunningham

Originally from Birmingham, UK, Junior was encouraged to study contemporary dance by his sister when he was 17 years old. He graduated from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2002 with a BPA (Hons) Degree in Contemporary Dance and went on to join Motionhouse as an apprentice. Junior became a full-time dancer in January 2003 and during his time at the company has performed in over 20 productions.

Junior was Motionhouse’s Rehearsal Director from 2009, working with the company for over 20 years. in 1988 by Louise Richards and Kevin Finnan MBE, Motionhouse creates world-class dance-circus productions that tour extensively to rave reviews across the globe. The company’s work integrates athletic physicality, powerful narrative, incredible digital imagery, and emotive soundscores, taking its inspiration from common human concerns and our connection to the world in which we live.
