About the class
The session will be a combination of a variety of South Asian and contemporary ideologies. The journey of our physical human form connecting to the spiritual is what I always strive to achieve. The session’s contemporary movement language will be rooted in nuances of Kathak, improvisation, folk, Indian Animal flow, and hand choreography while working patterns across the floor. (There may be a chance to learn the material from staged pieces or I will make a phrase, especially for the class.)

Kesha is a dancer and choreographer who embodies Kathak and Contemporary movement. She creates work that is rich in detail and experimentally reconsiders contemporary South Asian dance. Her curiosity and exposure to a wide range of training inform and invigorate her dance-making vocabulary.
