Shane Shambhu

Shane Shambhu is Creative Director of international theatre company, Altered Skin, creating movement-led theatre rooted in the South Indian Performing Art of Bharatanatyam. He is an award-winning choreographer and Artistic Associate of CAT Yuva Gati. His two-decade career spans many different roles across artistic genres including work with BBC TV & Radio, British Council, Complicite (National Theatre Live), Royal Opera House, Shobana Jeyasingh, Mavin Khoo to name a few.

He has developed a unique dance/movement vocabulary stemming from the principles of bharatanatyam creating a unique approach to dance and theatre which formed part of the East 15 World Performance degree and delivered at Grotowski Institute (Poland), Les Reperages (Brazil), NorthWestern University (Chicago), Goldsmiths University and UEL.
