We are passionate about developing provision for professionals in the city by providing a regular, consistent pro class.  From a financial perspective our unique self-financing model is the only sustainable way of making this possible. All participants have an ownership of the programme by buying a membership, which will enable our programme to develop from strength to strength and be sustainable in the long term.

With this sustainable model we have been able to add additional benefits to members such as priority booking and discounts for specific events and workshops. In the long run we hope to be able to add to these benefits.

Brum Pro Class is for any professional artists or second/third-year vocational dance students who would like to continue development and push themselves in a challenging, high-quality professional class.

Classes take place in a variety of locations in the city.  Normally this is either FABRIC’s Studios, which is based on the Birmingham Hippodrome campus or ACE Dance and Music in Digbeth. Classes may also take place at other studios so please check carefully on booking, or call or visit.

Yes, although for many this is unlikely to be the most cost-effective way to book.  PAYG cost £8 per class and can be purchased in advance directly from here or via card payment at reception 10 minutes before the start of a class.

Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded unless the class is cancelled.

Please contact hello@brumproclass.org.uk in the first instance and we will pass on information to the steering group for consideration.

FABRIC is a strategic dance development organisation.

Created from the formal merger of DanceXchange and Dance4, FABRIC brings together over 60 years of combined experience, and strives to be more ambitious for dance made, produced and nurtured in the Midlands.

FABRIC’s vision is to inspire people through dance, transforming lives, communities and places.

Membership FAQs

Payments are spread over a 12-month period, this includes December and August where there are short breaks in classes for Christmas and Summer.

Class terms run from the start of September to the middle of December, and then from the start of January to the end of July. There are 85 classes over the 12-month period.

Your direct debit remains cost-effective as the discount takes these short breaks into account, delivering substantial savings while contributing to the sustainability of the programme.

A member has a ‘cooling off’ right to cancel this agreement within 14 days of the signed “Start Date” by sending or taking a written notice of cancellation to our finance team at finance@fabric.dance. A refund will be arranged with the deduction of a £10 administration fee and the cost of any classes attended at the rate of £10 per class.

A member can at any time after one month of their Membership Start Date, cancel their membership by providing Brum Pro Class a full calendar month written notice. This means a customer commits at least two months of classes at a minimum if they buy a monthly membership.

If there is no money in your account when the direct debit is requested the payment will fail and our finance department will receive an automatic notice.  We will then get in touch with you to sort out payment.  The bank will resubmit a payment request the following month as usual.

If a Direct Debit fails or a member has cancelled their membership without prior agreement, membership will be suspended until payment is received. If any member falls behind in payment for more than one calendar month, membership will be cancelled.
